Is like trying to drift a Prius.
Seriously.

Why do you need a roof rack?

I think you can just buy a Yakima one and buy the right Q Clips and food adapters for it.
A Panther would look pretty badass with a roof rack though.

Pam's Crown Victoria in The Office had a roof rack.

I found some guys that used an old Barrecrafters bar kit with mount hooks for 94-04 Mustang.
There's also a universal kit: http://www.prolineracks.com/proline-cb602-…

Roofracks on Panthers look like lightbars in a rear view mirror. Don't be that guy.

Its going to have a cargo box mounted to it the vast majority of the time though, and when thats off, a kayak. Additionally, my Grand Marquis doesn't really bare much of a resemblance to a P71 head on given that its beige, lacks bullbar/steel wheels/black grille/ etc...

I just googled Barrecrafters US-1401 and apparently they're now SportRack and they use different model #s that start with SR-.

Might have to call them and see if they can cross reference it.

At the shop I used to work at we sold Thule and Yakima stuff... I actually did one install on a Panther. From either of those manufactures there are no actual fit kits or systems that make life easy, we ended up using a universal kit that involved hard mounting it to the roof using a type of rivet insert.

Yeah the Mercury is still in south FL at the moment but I really miss it, I just need to find a comfortable sleeping position in it - difficult because the backseat doesn't fold, and the car isn't quite wide enough for to lay completely flat across the backseat.
Additionally, as far as my parents are concerned, they think I took the Kia last time I visited home because I could fit my bike inside without dismantling it by folding the backseat down. As soon as we swap back my old man is going to sell it for a Nissan Juke or Hyundai Elantra GT.

Apparently the feet for an Escort, Mustang, or Focus would work, but I have no idea what generation/year - - not really helpful considering the Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis roof was unchanged for multiple generations of all three.

The Office is literally my favorite TV Show ever and it's embarrassing how much I can quote from it.
